With 1 draw and 3 wins, the ladies capture the big trophy and added another feather in their cap on their road to State Champs.  

A game on Black Friday morning pitted the Desert Darlings against the Elite FC Madrid club from Albuquerqe NM.  The visiting team came ready to play and held the girls to 1 goal while scoring one of their own.  

With a one to one draw, the girls faced off against the San Tan Legacy 99 girls later in the evening.  The game was tense as neither team was able to get the ball in the net for most of the play.  With 5 minutes left, an arsenal player scored from a shot 10 yards out reducing some of the nail biting among the fans.  Another goal with 1 minute remaining by the teal team sealed the victory 2-0.

The girls played early the next day battling the Sereno 99 Girls Elite team.  Dominating the game with numerous offensive attacks and solid defense, the team walked away with a 3  to 0 victory.

On Sunday, with all the points tallied, the ladies again were again pitted against the San Tan Legacy.  This game turned out to be the thriller of the season.  Defensive play dominated the game with each team scoring a goal.  Arsenal scored after a textbook crossing pass and San Tan off of a corner kick.  When the whistle blew at the end of regulation time the girls were encouraged to play tough by the coaches during the overtime periods.  The first 10 minute overtime was scoreless as each team  was unable to mount much of an attack.  About 4 minutes into the second overtime, an Arsenal player was able to break away and slide the ball past the San Tan goalie.  Teal was then able to hold off a furious attack by San Tan during the final minutes to take home the trophy.
